Course Breakdown

Part One: Neuro Affirming Foundations

  • Work effectively with parents/carers of neurodivergent students

  • Understand and apply neuro affirming practice

  • Language conventions around neurodivergence and disability 

  • The ‘wave’ of diagnosis currently taking place

  • Confidently understand ADHD, Autism and PDA

Part Two: Classroom Applications

  • Recognise and respond to presentations of neurodivergence in the classroom

  • Use the Four Steps to Better Outcomes Model

  • Learn Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (Dr Ross Greene - CPS)

  • Apply tailored and appropriate strategies and accommodations
