Two-part self-paced online course providing up to 4 hours of professional development

Work effectively with parents/carers of neurodivergent students

My parent course ‘Teaching the Teacher’ is ideal for parents wanting to improve the relationship with their school and focus on better outcomes for their child. Schools and Parent/Carer Associations often book this course to be delivered in-person for their community.
My teacher course ‘Improving Outcomes for Neurodivergent Students’ is aimed at primary school educators, however is suitable for all teachers.

Throughout the course you will complete the provided workbook containing resources for your child's teacher. The 'toolkit' is a tailored profile of your child to help the teacher to get to know all about your wonderful kid, their neurotype, language preferences, and strategies and tools that will help them work with your child successfully at school.

Part One provides the foundations for neuro affirming practice, current statistics about neurodiversity in Australia and looks at the 'wave' of diagnosis occurring globally. ADHD, Autism and PDA are looked at in depth.
Part Two looks in depth at neurodivergence in the classroom and participants learn the 'Four Step to Better Outcomes Model' to improve outcomes for ND students.
