What is neuro affirming practice?

As a neuro affirming practitioner I celebrate all brains and make space for everyone.

Being neuro affirming means acknowledging that ADHD, Autism, AuDHD and other neurotypes are not deficits, they are differences.

These differences make ND’ers unique individuals who should be valued and included as they are. In the words of author, advocate and actor Chloe Hayden ‘different, not less’.

Language lesson of the day: 'neurodiversity' means the wonderful diversity of brain types across all of humanity. 'Neurodivergence' means brains within the population that are different from the majority of neurotypes.
